Ruddy Duck Tavern is owned and operated by Mr. Bill Kingery and Head Chef Fabian Botta.
Bill has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. He opened his first restaurant in western Pennsylvania in 1979.
Bill will be the first to tell you that much of Ruddy Duck Tavern’s success is due to the expertise and talent of head chef
Fabian Botta. Mr. Botta also has over 30 years experience in the restaurant industry. He has owned and operated restaurants
in Winston-Salem and Boone, NC. Fabian Botta’s food is full of flavor. He has the experience and talent to cook a diverse menu
of items.
Ruddy Duck Tavern serves everything from hamburgers and flounder to crispy duck and, everything in between. No matter which
fare you choose, you are sure to have a meal bursting with flavor. Ruddy Duck Tavern serves only fresh local seafood. Bill Kingery
has a commercial fishing license and a boat so, he brings in some of the seafood himself. The remainder is always purchased
from local boats. The seafood that you eat at Ruddy Duck Tavern comes straight from the water to the kitchen. You can’t get any
fresher than that.
The quality doesn’t stop at seafood. Bill also purchases the produce locally. When you enter the restaurant, you’ll notice the
tomatoes ripening in sunshine at the front window. This produce isn’t just for the salads. Chef Botta also makes homemade
Pico de Gallo and sauces including the salad dressings. Ruddy Duck Tavern also has a variety of soups that are homemade with
only the freshest ingredients.
Ruddy Duck Tavern has proven to be favorite for tourists and locals alike. Ruddy Duck’s is one of the few restaurants that stays
busy throughout the year. This is because of Mr. Kingery’s understanding of what the locals expect from a restaurant. Bill provides
great food at reasonable prices made from only the freshest, local seafood and produce. When you combine all of this quality with
